MAC MAC GOLD PANNING COMPETITION
Mac Mac Gold Panning club, 20km from Pilgrim's Rest will be hosting a competition on the weekend before the World championships.
Transport to and from this event will be available from Crystal Springs Mountain Resort, Pilgrim's Rest Information Centre and Graskop Information Centre. Prices to be confirmed.

Monday 1 OCTOBER 2012
EXCURSION TO THE KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Full day excursion to the Kruger National Park, including breakfast and mineral water. A day trip to the Internationally acclaimed Kruger Park, by coach, departing 6.00 am and including a bush breakfast / brunch at a picnic spot inside the park. The coach will travel through areas of wild game and natural bush, and will return to Pilgrim's Rest by late afternoon. A bottle of mineral water will be provided to each passenger. Guests can be collected from Crystal Springs Mountain Resort, Pilgrim's Rest Information Centre and Graskop Information centre en route, and returned to the same areas. A valid passport or South African Identity Document is required for entry to the park.


Tuesday 2 OCTOBER 2012
EXCURSION TO THE BLYDE RIVER CANYON AND PANORAMA ROUTE
We will take a tour to the Worlds largest green canyon, only 20km from Pilgrim's Rest, we will stop at 2 waterfalls and Bourke's Luck Potholes, the Three Rondawels View site as well as at God's Window view site and natural rain forest. Departure at 9.00am and return late afternoon. Lunch is available at Bourke's Luck Potholes for own account. A bottle of mineral water will be provided to each passenger.
Guests can be collected from Crystal Springs Mountain Resort, Pilgrim's Rest Information Centre or the Graskop Information Centre en route, and returned to the same areas.


Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 OCTOBER 2012
EXCURSION TO THE ELEPHANT SANCTUARY
Excursions to the Elephant Sanctuary for an interactive tour and elephant ride will be scheduled for during the weekdays. A maximum of 9 passengers per vehicle can be accommodated. The tour is approximately 4 hours long, and will be subject to availability. Departs from Pilgrim's Rest Information Centre.

Monday 8 OCTOBER 2012
BARBERTON MINES AND GOLD PANNING
An excursion to Barberton, whic has 3.8 billion years of history, where the most ancient rocks on the planet are found and fossils of the oldest life on earth are preserved. Experience an underground tour at the Agnes mine and gold pan in the Tiger trap for your own flake of the oldest gold on the planet. This excursion will leave at 9.00 and return late afternoon. Lunch will be on your own account but a bottle of mineral water will be provided for each passenger. Guests can be collected from Crystal Springs Mountain Resort, Pilgrim's Rest Information Centre and Graskop Information centre en route, and returned to the same areas.

 

Transport arrangements
Transport to and from OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg), Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (Nelspruit) And Nelspruit City or Lydenburg. Transport to Pilgrim's Rest from these centres can be arranged.
Bushveld link, Citybug, Intercity, City to City, Translux and Greyhound bus services are available, and transport from the depots in Mpumalanga to Pilgrim's Rest is available.
